Arenas of Glory – Game Story
It is the year 260 A.D. – – The enemy has set up camp outside the gates of Rome with the goal of overtaking the Roman empire. Riots and looting await the city and the inhabitants are nervous and upset. Under the rule of the current Roman Emperor, you had to make many sacrifices – your family was brutally murdered and you were enslaved. Since then you have lived your existence as a gladiator.
By order of the Emperor, you entertain the crowds in gladiator battles by putting your life on the line every time you enter the arena for an exhibition fight. In the arena, only the will of the crowds is stronger than that of the Emperor – and so you need to excite the crowds and draw them over to your side. So you conduct your own revenge scheme, accompanied by the applause of the crowds, against the hated Emperor. With the invasion of the usurper who is camping in front of the gates of Rome, the fall of the Emperor is within reach.
